The Iraqi Foreign Ministry issued a statement on February 28 saying that Iraqi Foreign Minister Hossein spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi that day. Araghchi said Iran would consider US military bases in the Middle East as "response" targets. Araghchi said Iran would continue to defend its own security. Iran's strike on US military bases in the Middle East is limited to military facilities and not targeted at other countries.
