Emergency Management Department: Coordinate with relevant departments to organize the comprehensive management of the entire chain of fireworks and firecrackers as "One Thing".
On the afternoon of February 28, the Ministry of Emergency Management held a video conference on security prevention work before and after the Lantern Festival and the National Two Sessions. The meeting pointed out that various enterprises are accelerating their resumption of work and production, the passenger flow during the Spring Festival travel rush is still large, and the risk level of forest fires, earthquakes, and geological disasters is high. In particular, the Lantern Festival will see a peak in the burning of fireworks and firecrackers, making the security situation severe and complex. All regions must adhere to bottom-line thinking, continue to stay alert, and take targeted measures to control various risks. It is necessary to strengthen the comprehensive control of the fireworks and firecrackers supply chain, conduct a comprehensive investigation of major risks such as "production, transportation, storage, and sales" in the operating process, organize forces to conduct joint inspections and law enforcement in key units and areas during the burning process, and implement targeted prevention and scientifically safe disposal in the storage process. The Ministry of Emergency Management, together with relevant departments, will organize and implement comprehensive governance of the entire supply chain of fireworks and firecrackers, further detail and implement safety supervision measures for each link of "production, transportation, storage, sales, and burning".
