Since the US Supreme Court ruled that most of Trump's global tariffs are illegal, more than 100 companies have filed new lawsuits. Federal Express filed a lawsuit on Monday followed by several other companies. Subsidiaries of cosmetics giant L'Oreal, shoe companies On Holding and Skechers USA also filed lawsuits demanding the recovery of the import tariffs they have already paid. According to Bloomberg News analysis, the latest cases have brought the total number of tariff lawsuits to over 2,000. This is a heavy burden for trade courts, as it only represents a small portion of the hundreds of thousands of importers who have paid tariffs under the overturned rulings of the Supreme Court.
