Most US oil and gas stocks strengthened, with Battalion Oil up more than 38% after completing the sale of its oil and gas assets in Texas. Western Oil rose nearly 3%, Apache Oil rose more than 2%, ConocoPhillips and EQT Energy both rose nearly 2%.
