After a three-month interval, the polyurethane raw material MDI once again triggered a wave of price increases. On February 25th, BASF announced an immediate increase in the price of MDI products in the ASEAN region, with an increase of $200 per ton. The company stated that the price adjustment was mainly due to the continuous rise in raw material costs. The week before, Huntsman had already raised the price of MDI products in the US market by $260 per ton, and Covestro also announced an increase in the price of MDI series products in the North American region by $220 per ton, starting from March 1st.
