Pentagon: Willing to engage in discussions related to artificial intelligence with Anthropic before the deadline.

Emil Michael, the Deputy Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, stated on Friday that the Pentagon is willing to engage in more discussions with Anthropic PBC before the deadline of 5 pm local time on Friday, in order to relax restrictions on their use of artificial intelligence technology. Despite Anthropic's "unpredictable" behavior in the standoff over AI security issues, the Pentagon is still willing to talk to the company. "As long as they are sincere, we are always willing to negotiate," Michael said. "I am willing to engage in more negotiations before the deadline, and I have already made that clear to them."
