The Space Manufacturing Innovation Development Alliance has been established with the aim of promoting the industrialization of space manufacturing and the development of new business models in the space economy.

The first Space Manufacturing and Space Economy Innovation Development Conference was held in Beijing, and the Space Manufacturing Innovation Development Alliance was established. The alliance was jointly initiated and formed by nearly a hundred universities, research institutes, companies, investment institutions, etc., aiming to promote the construction of a collaborative innovation system between industry, academia, research, and applications, and to promote the industrialization of space manufacturing and the development of new forms of space economy. Professor Gui Haichao from Beihang University, China's first payload expert for the space station, and hero astronaut, launched the alliance initiative, proposing six initiatives to promote high-quality development of commercial spaceflight and cultivate new forms of space economy. These initiatives include adhering to innovation-driven development, breakthroughs in key core technologies, building a standard system, leading the standardized development of the industry, facilitating the transformation channels, promoting the application of results, co-building and sharing platforms, optimizing resource allocation and utilization, enhancing exchange and cooperation, nurturing innovative talents, upholding open sharing, and building a collaborative development ecosystem.
