The latest revised "Technical Specification for Pollution Control of Waste Electrical and Electronic Products Processing" will be officially implemented starting from March 1st. On February 27th, the person in charge of the Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment introduced to the press that the "Technical Specification" will include new types of waste electrical appliances in the control range, such as servers, service terminals, smart consumer devices, medical service equipment, etc. Specifically, the "Technical Specification" stipulates pollution control and environmental management requirements for the storage, disassembly, and utilization of waste electrical appliances, and is applicable to enterprises engaged in waste electrical appliance processing activities for pollution control during storage, disassembly, and utilization of product disposal processes. It can serve as a technical basis for environmental impact assessment of waste electrical appliance treatment projects, design of environmental protection facilities, acceptance of completion of environmental protection, and operation management after production.
