OpenAI made several commitments to Canadian officials on Thursday to enhance security measures.

Earlier, a fatal shooting incident occurred in the province of British Columbia, where the suspect had interacted with OpenAI's chatbot. OpenAI stated in a letter to the Canadian Minister of Artificial Intelligence that they will adopt more flexible standards and transfer relevant accounts to law enforcement agencies for handling. The company will also establish a direct communication channel with Canadian law enforcement officers to assist in guiding distressed users to contact relevant assistance agencies, and enhance detection systems to prevent anyone from trying to bypass security measures.
