The Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico erupted 15 times within 24 hours.
On the 26th local time, a monitoring report jointly released by the Mexican National Disaster Prevention Center and the National Autonomous University of Mexico showed that the Popocatepetl volcano located southeast of the capital Mexico City erupted 15 times in the past 24 hours. Currently, the Mexican volcano alert system is at a level 2 yellow alert. The Mexican government is urging people to pay attention to the information released by the National Civil Protection agency and is urging people not to approach the volcano, especially within a 12-kilometer radius of the crater.
