Ukraine will receive American liquefied natural gas for the first time through the port of Lithuania.
Ukraine's national oil and gas company announced on its official website on the 26th that Ukraine will for the first time receive liquefied natural gas from the United States through the port of Klaipeda in Lithuania. The statement said that Ukraine's national oil and gas company is cooperating with Lithuania's Ignitis Group and will receive 90 million cubic meters of American liquefied natural gas through the port of Klaipeda from February to March this year. Ukrainian Energy Minister Shmyhal said that with Russia attacking Ukraine's energy and gas infrastructure almost every day, diversification of energy supply routes and strengthening energy security are extremely important.
