Australia is advancing its nuclear submarine program by spending 3.1 billion US dollars to purchase British nuclear reactors.

The Australian government announced on February 24 that it will pay $3.1 billion to the UK to deepen defense cooperation and launch a new phase of the AUKUS nuclear submarine project. This funding will be primarily used to purchase nuclear reactors produced by the UK, as well as to collaborate with the UK on radar, drones, and missile experiments.
