The latest monitoring data from the China Commercial Federation shows that during the Spring Festival holiday, retail sales of goods maintained a rapid growth, with the average daily retail sales of key large retail enterprises nationwide increasing by 24.0% year-on-year, and consumption potential continues to be released. During the traditional peak season of golden consumption, the average daily retail sales of gold and silver jewelry products increased by 33.4% year-on-year during the Spring Festival period. In particular, the trend of "reverse Spring Festival" has been heating up in recent years, with the population flowing towards large cities, driving a sharp increase in the sales of gold and silver jewelry products in first-tier cities. The demand for festive gatherings and other activities has boosted the sales of related products significantly, with the average daily retail sales of food products increasing by 23.0% year-on-year. The average daily retail sales of clothing products increased by 17.3% year-on-year, driven by the demand for returning home to visit family and festival purchases, with sports clothing performing particularly well in the market. Additionally, the policy of trading in old equipment for new ones has led to a double-digit increase in the average daily retail sales of communication equipment products.
