Chen Maobo: Actively explore the new engineering contract model and smart construction site system in Qianhai for trial implementation in Hong Kong.

The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Paul Chan, delivered the government's financial budget for the fiscal year 2026 to 2027 in the Legislative Council today. He stated that the government is actively discussing with the Qianhai Authority the implementation of a new engineering contract model and an intelligent construction site system in Qianhai, to help align the mainland's engineering contract and management systems with those of Hong Kong and international standards. In addition, the government will reference national and overseas standards to further enhance Hong Kong's building regulations, while leveraging its international advantages and experiences to jointly develop building standards in the Greater Bay Area and assist national standards in entering the international market.
