A-share market midday review: The three major indexes all rose by more than 1% in the first half of the day, with stocks related to non-ferrous metals, chemicals and other industries seeing across-the-board gains.
In the morning session, the three major indexes of A-shares collectively rose, with the Shanghai Composite Index up by 1.2%, the Shenzhen Component Index up by 1.47%, the ChiNext Index up by 1.43%, and the CSI 50 Index up by 0.28% by midday. The total trading volume in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing amounted to 153.22 billion yuan by midday, an increase of 11.2 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Nearly 4,000 stocks in the market rose. In terms of sector themes, the sectors with the largest gains include non-ferrous metals, phosphorous chemicals, steel, rare earth permanent magnets, port and shipping, batteries, real estate, paper making, and chemical fibers, while the sectors with the largest declines include film and television companies, communication equipment, optical fibers, and gaming. Chemicals, non-ferrous metals, and steel companies, among others, saw significant increases in stock prices, with companies like Yuntianhua, Yunnan Germanium Industry, and Baosteel seeing their share prices rise. The real estate sector saw an early rise, with companies like Wanda Group, Huailian Holdings, and City Investment Holdings hitting the daily limit. Institutions are keeping an eye on the pace of trading volume recovery and policy adjustments. The port and shipping sector saw similar speculation on rising prices, with China Merchants Steam Navigation hitting record highs and China Cosco Energy seeing two consecutive daily limits. The rental rates for super large oil tankers on the Middle East to China route have tripled since the beginning of the year, surpassing 170,000 US dollars per day. In addition, there were movements in the paper making, rare earth permanent magnet, and battery sectors. On the other hand, the film and television sector continued to adjust, with Hengdian Film and Television Studios hitting the daily limit for the second consecutive day and Bona Film Group opening the daily limit during trading. Some individual stocks in the CPO and optical fiber sectors experienced corrections, with Robotechs and Zhishang Technology falling by more than 10% during trading.
