Silesia announces motion sickness identification patent.
Tianyancha's intellectual property information shows that recently, the patent for "a motion sickness recognition method, device, storage medium, and equipment" applied by Sailes Automotive Co., Ltd. was published. The abstract shows that in this method, a teacher model is trained using multiple sources of signal samples to predict the motion sickness status of the driver and passengers. Through knowledge distillation technology, the student model is trained based on the soft labels provided by the well-trained teacher model and IMU signal samples, which is then determined as the motion sickness recognition model. After deploying this motion sickness recognition model on the onboard chip, it processes the real-time collected vehicle IMU signals to determine the motion sickness status of the vehicle's driver and passengers. In this way, the teacher model based on multiple sources of signals is compressed into a student model that only requires IMU signal inputs, solving the problems of signal acquisition limitations and insufficient computational power at the vehicle end in practical applications, and achieving real-time and accurate recognition of motion sickness status.
