The People's Bank of China will issue 50 billion yuan of central bank bills in Hong Kong today.

Today, the People's Bank of China plans to issue the first and second series of central bank bills for 2026, with respective issuances of 30 billion yuan and 20 billion yuan, through the debt instrument central clearing system of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority's bond tender platform. The issuance of central bank bills this time aims to enrich high credit-rated RMB financial products in Hong Kong and improve the RMB yield curve in Hong Kong.
