Spot gold dropped by about 1.5%, silver fell by 1.1%, and New York copper futures rose by 2%.

On Tuesday, the New York gold market closed down 1.49%, at $5149.92 per ounce. Prior to 9:00 am Beijing time, there was a wave of downward trend, with most of the day stabilizing around $5160. COMEX gold futures fell by 1.12%, at $5166.90 per ounce. Spot silver fell by 1.12%, at $87.2078 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures rose by 0.57%, at $87.695 per ounce. COMEX copper futures rose by 2.05%, at $5.9610 per pound. Spot platinum rose by 1.00%, while spot palladium rose by 2.32%. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index rose by 1.37%, at 449.39 points. The NYSE Arca Gold Miners Index rose by 0.99%, at 3164.77 points. The raw materials index rose by 1.56%, and the metal and mining index rose by 0.79%.
