AMD and Meta Platforms announced today a 6-gigawatt agreement aimed at providing support for Meta's next-generation AI infrastructure with multiple generations of AMD Instinct GPUs. This agreement expands the existing strategic partnership between the two companies and coordinates development roadmaps at the chip, system, and software levels to deliver an AI platform tailored for Meta's workloads. AMD Chairman and CEO Lisa Su said she is proud to expand strategic cooperation with Meta as they are expanding the boundaries of AI on an unprecedented scale. As part of the agreement, AMD has granted Meta performance-based warrants to purchase up to 160 million shares of AMD common stock to further align strategic interests. AMD and Meta are collaborating comprehensively at the chip, system, and software levels to achieve scalable deployment of AI infrastructure globally, accelerating AI innovation and bringing AI-driven services and experiences to billions of users.
