On February 24, the world's largest AI open source community, Hugging Face, released a new ranking of open source large models. Alibaba's latest open source native multimodal model, Qianwen 3.5, topped the global list, becoming the most popular open source large model among AI developers worldwide. Qianwen 3.5 is Alibaba's latest generation basic large model, with a total of 397 billion parameters, only activating 17 billion, comparable to Gemini 3 in performance, with a token cost of about 5%. In the latest ranking of Hugging Face models, 8 models from Chinese teams, including Alibaba, Zhipu, MiniMax, and Dark Side of the Moon, are included in the top ten.
