Goldman Sachs: The decision of the United States Supreme Court has not significantly alleviated concerns about U.S. tariffs.

Goldman Sachs analysts say that following the US Supreme Court ruling that tariffs imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act are invalid, most Asian economies will see a slight decrease in US tariffs in the short term. However, due to the relatively moderate changes faced by most economies and the significant uncertainty that still exists, Goldman Sachs has not changed its forecasts for the region. President Trump has announced a plan to impose a 15% global tariff under Section 122, which will last until late July. It is likely that longer-lasting and potentially higher tariffs will be imposed under Section 301 afterwards. Goldman Sachs states that there may be more changes in the coming days.
