The State Administration for Market Regulation has deployed efforts in various regions to strengthen food safety supervision during the Spring Festival, fully guarding the public's "taste of the year" on their tongues.
During the Spring Festival holiday, the demand for food consumption is concentrated and released. The General Administration of Market Supervision has deployed local market supervision departments to focus on key areas, comprehensively strengthen supervision, press the responsibilities of all parties, severely crack down on illegal activities, weave a dense and strong food safety protection net for the Spring Festival, and fully protect the "taste of the year" on the tip of the people's tongue. Local market supervision departments closely combine with the characteristics of Spring Festival consumption, focusing on large supermarkets, agricultural wholesale markets, New Year's goods markets, tourist attractions, and dining areas, etc., focusing on rice, flour, grains, oils, meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, and local specialty foods, which are popular during the holiday season. They grasp key entities such as food production enterprises, food workshops, "New Year's Eve dinner," and online ordering platforms, and through special inspections, on-site inspections, joint supervision, online patrols, and other means, urge food production and operation entities to strictly implement their main responsibilities, strictly control key aspects such as raw material access, process control, storage and transportation, and catering services, and strictly prevent unqualified food from entering the market and reaching the table. According to incomplete statistics, in the first three days of the Spring Festival holiday, national market supervision departments have collectively inspected more than 500,000 food production and operation entities.
