In the Spring Festival travel rush of 2026, the daily number of travelers exceeded 300 million.

On the 19th, it was learned from the Ministry of Transportation that on February 18, the total inter-regional personnel flow in the whole society was 323 million person-times, an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period in 2025. The number of daily passenger trips during the 2026 Spring Festival travel season exceeded 300 million for the first time. Specifically, the highway passenger flow was 308 million person-times, an increase of 9.6% compared to the same period in 2025. Among them, the number of non-commercial small passenger car trips on expressways and ordinary national and provincial highways was 287 million person-times, an increase of 9.7% compared to the same period in 2025; the number of highway commercial passenger trips was 20.98 million person-times, an increase of 8.9% compared to the same period in 2025. The railway passenger volume was 10.801 million person-times, an increase of 11.6% compared to the same period in 2025; the waterway passenger volume was 1.565 million person-times, an increase of 18.9% compared to the same period in 2025; and the civil aviation passenger volume was 2.473 million person-times, an increase of 9.2% compared to the same period in 2025.
