The UK plans to increase penalties for online platforms that allow the spread of exposed content.
British media reported on the 18th that British Prime Minister Stalmer stated that relevant online platforms must delete insulting and exposure images within 48 hours of receiving reports, otherwise they will face fines and risks of being banned. Stalmer said that after receiving reports from victims, if technology companies operating social media platforms or websites still allow the transmission or forwarding of relevant deepfakes or retaliatory pornographic images, they may be fined 10% of the company's global compliance revenue, or face the risk of their services being banned in the UK. He stated that this is a "national emergency" that the government must address. A news release was published on the British government's website on the 15th, stating that the UK will take immediate action to actively promote multiple measures to ensure that "no platform can escape" regulation to protect the public from illegal content infringement.
