Demis Hassabis, CEO of Google's DeepMind, stated that the serious risks posed by artificial intelligence need urgent attention and should be addressed through international cooperation. He categorizes the risks of artificial intelligence technology into two main groups: one is malicious actors using beneficial technology for harmful purposes; the other is inherent technological risks that arise as systems become increasingly autonomous. In an interview, he said, "As systems become more autonomous and independent, they become more useful, more like intelligent agents, but they are also more likely to bring risks and do things that we did not intend when designing them." The co-founder of DeepMind also expressed concern that existing institutions may not be sufficient to cope with the impending development of artificial intelligence. He mentioned the global impact of this technology, and added, "It is digital, which means it will likely affect every person in the world and cross borders."
