Slovak Prime Minister Fizo said that Slovakia has released 250,000 tons of emergency oil reserves after Russia stopped supplying oil to Slovak refineries through the "Friendship" pipeline passing through Ukraine. The Slovak government approved the release after a request from the refinery company Slovnaft, stating that the quantity can at least meet the operational needs of the refinery for a month while maintaining continuous supply to the domestic market. This move is aimed at preventing fuel shortages. Earlier, due to Russia's large-scale attacks that damaged Ukraine's energy infrastructure, fuel supply through the "Friendship" pipeline was interrupted on January 27th.
