Europe's largest semiconductor manufacturer Infineon believes that humanoid robots will become an important future business area. The company's CEO, Jochen Hanebeck, expects that these new types of machines will bring significant revenue growth and help stabilize the profit margins of the Munich-based company which is currently under pressure. "This could develop into a growth area, just like power semiconductors for AI data centers today," Hanebeck said in an interview. This comparison shows his judgement of the potential market size for robots. In recent years, power semiconductors for data centers have developed into one of the most dynamic sub-markets in the chip industry.
