The UK Reform Party, which leads in the polls, has announced its "shadow cabinet," with former Conservative Party member Jenrick as the proposed Chancellor.
The leader of the UK Reform Party, Nigel Farage, has announced that if the party wins the next general election, he will appoint Robert Jenrick as Chancellor of the Exchequer. The UK Reform Party continues to lead in polls. Farage has unveiled his so-called shadow cabinet, appointing deputy leader Richard Tice to handle a range of business, trade, and energy affairs, and policy director Zia Yusuf to oversee domestic affairs including immigration, which has helped boost support for the Reform Party. Since April last year, the Reform Party led by Farage has consistently been at the top of national polls. He has vowed to professionalize the party and prepare for government, with Tuesday's announcement being a key step in this process. The Reform Party only won 5 seats out of 650 in the House of Commons in 2024, making Farage's room for forming a leadership team that can effectively speak in Parliament very limited.
