British Prime Minister Stammer is stepping up efforts to crack down on AI chatbots spreading harmful content, and has pledged to ensure they comply with laws protecting children's online safety. The UK will require all AI chatbot providers to take on the responsibility of monitoring and preventing illegal content, in line with the provisions of the Online Safety Bill. Stammer will announce this measure in a speech on Monday. Currently, the law only applies to platforms where users share content with each other, such as social media, and not to private chatbots.
