The first heavy-duty gas turbine flexible excitation system in China is put into operation.

On the 14th, according to the news from the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd., China's first set of heavy-duty gas turbine flexible excitation system was successfully put into operation on the 13th in the 9F unit 2 of Huadian Banshan Power Plant in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. This is the first time in China that flexible excitation technology is applied in large-scale primary power sources to enhance the stability of the power grid operation. The system can add 200,000 kilowatts of power supply capacity during peak electricity consumption periods, and can meet the electricity demand of approximately 30,000 households at extreme peak values, beyond what was previously possible.
