Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Liuzhou City Committee former standing committee member Gao Xianbin has been expelled from the Communist Party and removed from public office by the government authorities.

After investigation, Gao Xianbin has lost his ideals and beliefs, betrayed his original mission, ignored the spirit of the Central Eight-point Regulation, accepted invitations and travel arrangements that may affect the fair execution of public duties; violated organizational principles, sought benefits for others in the selection and appointment of cadres; breached the bottom line of integrity, accepted gifts and cash improperly; performed poorly in implementing inspection and environmental protection inspection and rectification work, causing adverse effects; inflated personal desires, using public power to seek private gains, using official convenience to benefit others in project contracting, government repurchase projects, and unlawfully accepting huge amounts of money and property.
