"Snow Dragon" completes operations in the Amundsen Sea, collecting a valuable batch of samples.

Currently, the research vessel "Xuelong" has successfully completed its operations in the Amundsen Sea, obtaining a batch of valuable scientific samples. As of February 12th, the research team on the "Xuelong" completed all of its oceanographic operations in the Amundsen Sea area. These operation sites span 5 latitudes from north to south and over 20 longitudes from east to west. During the mission, tasks such as CTD observations and water sampling, biological vertical trawling, krill trawling, mid-water fish trawling, and benthic trawling were completed, acquiring a collection of valuable scientific samples including Antarctic krill, mid-water fish, benthic organisms, and more.
