The underwater power line connecting Poland and Sweden has malfunctioned.

On February 12th local time, the Polish power grid company announced in a statement that "due to a malfunction, the Poland-Sweden power grid has been temporarily disconnected." The company emphasized that there is no evidence to suggest that this power outage was caused deliberately. The Polish power grid company also stressed that the connection failure with Sweden will not impact the safety of the system. Currently, preparations are being made to repair the damaged components. The Poland-Sweden underwater power transmission line has been in operation since 2000 and has since become one of the most important energy connection lines in the region.
