Reporters learned today that the State Administration for Market Regulation recently organized a special activity nationwide called "You Point, I Check" for food safety during the Chinese New Year holiday season, actively responding to the people's concerns about food safety and strengthening the food safety defense line during the festival. The activity adheres to the principle of "what the people care about, the regulatory department checks", and widely collects public concerns through various channels for interactive participation. Up to now, a total of 289 related activities have been organized in various regions, 892 surveys have been released, 713,200 consumers have actively participated in food selection, and a total of 18.61 million pieces of selection information have been collected. Targeting the high-demand holiday food that the public is concerned about, the market regulatory department has conducted targeted sampling inspections, with a total of 61.9 thousand batches of inspections completed. For any products found to be substandard during inspections, the market regulatory department has taken strict actions to investigate and punish, with a total of 1,165 batches of substandard food being dealt with, effectively preventing holiday food safety risks and providing solid guarantees for the public to have a safe and enjoyable Spring Festival.
