During the Lunar New Year holiday this year, the Hong Kong Immigration Department expects about 11.38 million people to enter and exit Hong Kong through various sea, land, and air control points. After negotiations with mainland departments such as the Hong Kong Immigration Department and the Shenzhen Port of Entry and Exit Frontier Inspection Station, it is estimated that about 9.52 million people will enter and exit Hong Kong through various land border control points. The peak period for land exits is expected to be on February 14th, with an estimated 636,000 exits, while the peak period for land entries is expected to be on February 22nd, with an estimated 663,000 entries. The Hong Kong Immigration Department estimates that during the holiday, the Lok Ma Chau control point, the Lok Ma Chau Spur Line control point, and the Shenzhen Bay control point will be very busy, with an average of approximately 200,000, 187,000, and 156,000 people entering and exiting each day, respectively. During the Lunar New Year holiday this year, Hong Kong's various border checkpoints will maintain the current clearance times. The Lok Ma Chau, Huanggang, and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge checkpoints will remain open 24 hours as usual.
