On February 12, during an interview with the Chief Prosecutor, the Director of the Department of Juvenile Prosecution of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, Xian Jie, stated that by 2025, more than half of the total number of public interest litigation cases involving the protection of minors handled by national procuratorial organs will be related to cases in areas such as hotels, entertainment venues, tobacco and alcohol sales, school education, and campus safety. The "Work Guidelines for Handling Public Interest Litigation Cases Involving the Protection of Minors by People's Procuratorates" issued in November 2025 clearly defines six major areas, including public places where minors gather, accommodation establishments, and places unsuitable for minors' activities as key areas for supervision in public interest litigation, providing institutional guarantees for the construction of a more powerful comprehensive judicial protection system. In the next step, procuratorial organs will take the implementation of the "Work Guidelines" as an opportunity, fully leveraging the advantages of centralized and unified handling of non-prosecution business, deepening the comprehensive performance of the "Four Great Procuratorates", and striving to build a more powerful comprehensive judicial protection system.
