Three infants in France have died from consuming problematic baby formula.
On February 11th local time, the French Ministry of Health issued a report stating that three infants have died after consuming recalled infant formula milk powder. The relevant department has initiated an investigation. The French Ministry of Health stated that as of now, health authorities in various regions of France have received about 50 reports, with 14 cases hospitalized for suspected consumption of recalled infant formula milk powder. Recently, multiple global recalls of infant formula milk powder have raised concerns in the dairy industry, all related to the potential presence of clostridium botulinum toxin in the products. The Singapore Food Agency announced the recall of Dumex infant formula milk powder under the French food company Danone on January 17th. In early January, Nestle's subsidiaries in Europe also announced the recall of certain batches of infant formula milk powder sold in different markets.
