Reporter learned from China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. that in order to meet the travel needs of passengers returning home after the holiday, during the peak travel periods from February 20 to February 25 and from March 4 to March 6, the railway department will arrange additional overnight high-speed trains on major high-speed rail corridors such as Beijing-Harbin, Beijing-Shanghai, and Beijing-Guangzhou. To facilitate passengers in scientifically planning their trips, considering factors such as passenger demand and weather changes, the presale period for the additional overnight high-speed trains has been optimized and adjusted. It will be divided into three phases: 10 days before departure, 7 days before departure, and 5 days before departure, instead of the previous 5 days before departure. Tickets for the overnight high-speed trains will gradually go on sale, and passengers can check specific train schedules and ticket sale times through the railway ticketing website 12306. Currently, the additional overnight high-speed trains during the peak travel periods after the holiday have started to be sold. Passengers can purchase tickets through 12306 or use the waitlist function, selecting the option "accept additional trains." Tickets for the additional overnight high-speed trains will be prioritized for passengers who have submitted waitlist requests. Some of the overnight high-speed trains will depart in the early morning, so passengers should carefully check the date, time, and station name on their tickets to avoid errors that might affect their journey.
