Recently, the General Office of the State Council issued the "Implementation Opinions on Improving the National Unified Electricity Market System". The official in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission accepted an interview about the "Opinions". Next, the National Development and Reform Commission will work closely with relevant parties to carefully implement the "Opinions". Firstly, it will continue to strengthen the overall coordination of the construction of the national unified electricity market system, improve supporting policies, refine task division, strengthen supervision and guidance, timely coordinate and solve bottlenecks, and promote the effectiveness of various measures. Secondly, it will promote grid enterprises and electricity market operators to take further action, continuously improve trading rules, closely monitor market operations, strengthen information disclosure and reporting, widely solicit opinions and suggestions, continuously enhance service levels, prepare emergency plans and risk prevention measures, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system. Thirdly, it will urge local competent authorities to actively promote the construction of the local electricity market system, resolutely eliminate local protectionism and market segmentation, strengthen the alignment and unity of local rules with national rules, prevent improper intervention in electricity market transactions, cultivate new market participants and formats in the electricity market, and create more investment opportunities for various types of capital.
