Recently, the "15th Five-Year Plan for Accelerating the Construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center" was publicly soliciting opinions. It mentions fully supporting Shanghai in building a socialist modern international metropolis with global influence. By 2030, the international shipping center will be basically built with leading global hub capabilities, high-quality and convenient modern shipping services, leading demonstration of smart and low-carbon shipping, a resilient shipping governance system, and significantly improved global shipping resource allocation capabilities. Its world-class shipping hub status will be even more stable. It will build an internationally first-class container hub with leading capabilities and excellent quality, playing a core leading role in the world-class port cluster in the Yangtze River Delta, with a container throughput of about 58 million standard containers annually. It will consolidate China's position as the top international aviation hub and basically build the leading Asia-Pacific aviation hub. The annual passenger throughput of Shanghai's two airports will reach around 150 million, and the annual cargo throughput will reach around 4.7 million tons.
