The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group will launch single-stock futures.
The Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group will launch single stock futures this summer. The new product will allow market participants to trade futures on more than 50 leading US stocks from the S&P 500, Nasdaq 100, and Russell 1000 indices. Tim McCourt, Global Head of Stock, Forex, and Alternative Products at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group, said: "These contracts will provide a more convenient and cost-effective way to express views on individual stock trends, while allowing market participants to obtain relevant exposures or hedge potential price fluctuations without directly buying stocks."
