Alphabet plans to raise around $15 billion through the issuance of dollar bonds.
According to informed sources, Google's parent company Alphabet is seeking to raise approximately $15 billion through the issuance of high-grade US dollar bonds, further fueling the borrowing frenzy among companies at the forefront of artificial intelligence investments. The sources indicated that Alphabet plans to launch seven batches of dollar bond issuance. They added that the preliminary price negotiations for the longest-dated bonds in this issuance involved a spread of approximately 1.2 percentage points above the yield on comparable US Treasury securities. According to other informed sources, in addition to the US dollar bond issuance, the company has commissioned banks to prepare for potential Swiss franc and British pound bond issuances, including rare 100-year bonds.
