European bank executives warn: Need to reduce reliance on Visa and Mastercard

The head of the European Payment Initiative organization warned that Europe's dependence on American payment groups such as Visa and Mastercard is too high, and we should be vigilant against deteriorating transatlantic relations; if relations between Europe and the US seriously deteriorate, the dominant position of these two American payment companies may be "weaponized".
