Wang Bingqing, former director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, was sentenced to 11 years in prison in the first instance for accepting bribes totaling more than 21.19 million yuan.

On February 9th, the Intermediate People's Court of Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, publicly sentenced Wang Bingqing, former director of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, for bribery. The defendant Wang Bingqing was sentenced to eleven years in prison for the crime of bribery and fined 1 million RMB. The illegal proceeds from Wang's bribery crimes and their interest will be confiscated in accordance with the law and turned over to the state treasury. The investigation revealed that from 2008 to 2023, the defendant Wang Bingqing, taking advantage of his positions as Vice Minister of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Construction, Vice Mayor and Mayor of Zunyi City, Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation, and Director of the Financial and Economic Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress, provided assistance to related units and individuals in project contracting and project planning and approval procedures in exchange for illegal gains totaling over 21.19 million RMB, some of which were not actually obtained.
