The No.4 unit of the Dazhou Gas Power Plant Phase II project, contracted by China Power Engineering Consulting Group Southwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., has successfully completed 168 hours of full-load trial operation, marking the comprehensive completion of the project and its official entry into commercial operation. This project is located in the high-tech zone of Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. The Phase II construction includes 2 new 700MW H-type gas turbine units, in addition to the Phase I 2350MW F-class units, with a total installed capacity of 2.1 million kilowatts, making it the largest natural gas power generation base in Sichuan Province. The Phase II project adopts the globally leading H-class gas turbine technology, with a combined cycle efficiency of 63.72%, setting a new benchmark for energy efficiency of similar units in China. After the project is fully operational, it is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1 million tons per year, helping to increase the proportion of clean energy in the Sichuan power grid and serving as a demonstration for the construction of an integrated new power system in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone.
