Affected by strong winds, 20 ferry passenger routes along the coast of Fujian have suspended operations.
Affected by cold air, on February 7th, Fujian coastal areas experienced strong winds of 7-8 levels, with gusts up to level 9. The meteorological department forecasted that wind speeds in some sea areas could reach level 9, with gusts up to level 10. Due to the strong winds at sea, multiple passenger ferry routes along the coast of Fujian Province have been suspended. As of 10 am on the 7th, a total of 20 passenger ferry routes and 45 passenger ferry boats along the Fujian coast have been suspended, including two "small three links" passenger ferry routes to Two Horse Island and Kinmen. The Fujian Maritime Bureau reminds the public that those who have a need for water travel should closely monitor information on the suspension of passenger ferries, adjust travel plans in a timely manner, and avoid taking risks by traveling on township boats, fishing boats, or unregistered boats.
