Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs: Speed up the upgrading of visual systems, satellite phones, new Beidou terminals, maritime broadband, and other fishing vessel facilities and equipment.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently held a national video conference on the safety production of ocean fishing vessels. The meeting emphasized that the situation regarding the safety production of fishing vessels is still severe and complex. Fisheries and fishery authorities at all levels should adhere to bottom-line and extreme thinking, transform the sense of responsibility of "always worrying" into the momentum of "having a bottom line in everything," and continuously promote in-depth and practical special rectification. The "six prevention" requirements should be fully implemented to decisively curb the occurrence of major accidents and reduce the number of general accidents. Promote the full-chain supervision of fishing vessels for "one thing," strictly regulate the design, construction, inspection, production operation, and law enforcement supervision. Accelerate the upgrading of visual systems, satellite phones, new Beidou terminals, maritime broadband, and other fishing vessel facilities and equipment, break through the barrier of data information. Establish and implement a coordinated management mechanism between the port of registry and the berthing port, and resolutely promote the coordinated management of the "two places."
