The Intermediate People's Court of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, publicly sentenced Yuan Jianlin, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Qiannan Prefecture, in a first-instance trial on the 6th for accepting bribes. Yuan Jianlin was sentenced to ten years in prison for the crime of bribery, and fined sixty thousand RMB. The illegal gains and interest obtained from the crime of bribery by Yuan Jianlin were confiscated and turned over to the national treasury.
