Secretary-General Cui Dongshu of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers stated in a document that in January to December 2025, global car sales reached 96.47 million units, with new energy vehicles reaching 22.71 million units. In January to December 2025, the proportion of global sales of broad new energy vehicles reached 30% of total car sales, an increase of 4 percentage points from the previous year, while the proportion of narrow new energy vehicles reached 23.5%, showing a relatively strong performance.
