The Land Transport Authority of Singapore announced on February 6 that it will increase the vehicle entry permit fees for foreign-registered cars and motorcycles, as well as the goods vehicle permit fees for foreign-registered goods vehicles. According to the revised VEP (Vehicle Entry Permit) and GVP (Goods Vehicle Permit) plans to be implemented starting from January 1, 2027, the VEP fees for foreign-registered cars and motorcycles entering Singapore will be increased from the current daily rates of S$35 and S$4 to S$50 and S$7 respectively. The GVP fees for foreign-registered goods vehicles will be increased from S$40 per month to S$70. Owners of foreign-registered goods vehicles can purchase the GVP at the current rate of S$40 before the new rates take effect. However, GVP purchased after the new rates take effect will be charged at S$70 per month. In addition, starting from January 1, 2027, foreign-registered vehicles without an in-vehicle unit installed will be subject to fixed-rate electronic road pricing.
